Q1. I received a citation from a Rockwall County Deputy, but the citation says the City of Fate. Where do I take care of it?
The City of Fate has a contract with the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement. Citations that say the City of Fate should be paid at the City of Fate Municipal Court in City Hall.
Q2. What type of payments does the Municipal Court take?
You can pay with cash, checks, or money orders. You may also use a debit or credit card with a 5% fee.
Q3. Am I eligible to take a Driving Safety Course?
If you have not taken a Driving Safety Course within the past 12 months, you do not have a CDL license, and you do have a valid Texas Drivers License and valid insurance, you may take a Driving Safety Course.
Q4. Can I get Deferred Adjudication for my citation?
If you have a valid Texas Drivers License, valid insurance, and pay the citation on time, you may get deferred.
